I have been a very bad blogger...leaving you neglected but it was for a good reason. I was away having a pesky painful gall bladder removed and the week that followed I could not sit at my desk for long periods of time but I am back and much better with goodies to share!!!
There have also been some developments in other areas of my life to do with crafting that I cant share details of just yet but suffice to say I am still on cloud nine especially after the news I got today :)
Onto crafting projects...
This first one I hinted at the other week as an insomnia fueled scrapping session..I could not sleep so at 2am I padded down the stairs to find my husband couldnt sleep either so he was playing with his salt water reef...I sat in my office chair and decided to tinker in my craft stuff. An idea formed in my head and I got right down to it. Hubby helped me overcome an issue of frustration at one stage but then I was right back into it....before I knew it it was 5am and I was an inky painted mess LOL!. The end result is so worth the insomnia and the mess.
The bird on the top my Mother In Law made...I grabbed it from her craft stash along with those little houses ... she has some amazing things in her craft room.
Last night I was wanting to play with papers again after hubby went to work -- he works 3rd shift so I at times struggle to sleep when he isnt home. This came about after reading about art journals and the wonderful ecourse that is on offer through Scarlet Lime that i really want to do for the learning experience so I can grow as a crafter. So anyway..I sat down and decided to deconstruct a kit I bought from Your Memories Here and use pieces of it to make my own art journal. I used a 7Gypsies chipboard album and off I went. 4 hours later it was all but complete but I was exhausted so I turned out the light and headed up to bed. I completed the back cover assembly and the seam binding etc this afternoon and here you have it.
I hope you have liked what you have seen here today -- until next time
